There are no words I can say that would take the pain away from all us. Aunt Sara was one of a kind beautiful, witty, sassy, and loved to laugh! I will never forget going the roller skating rink with Aunt Sara and my sister. We had so much fun! There won’t be anyone that could make biscuits like she did! Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
