The Family,
My sincere condolence for your loss. As you think of your many fond memories of John, may the God of comfort strengthen you during your time of bereavement. (2 Corinthian 1: 3,4) Please know that in the near future, sickness nor death will be no more. (Revelations 21:)

I would like to express my deepest sympathy over your loss. A scripture that has uplifted many who have experienced such a loss is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever. We will even see our loved ones again whom we have lost in death (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15). It is my hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time.

I don't know where to start in saying I'm so sorry to hear "Jon Jon " passed away.
I went to school with him at Woodland. His dad (Jim Mulkey) went to our church! Steve and I lived across the street from him in Roanoke for a year and a half. We made coffee for him every morning, fed him when we were home, and just "adopted" him as our family at that time. He became like a brother to us. From that time on he went with us to family birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgivings, etc. If for any reason John didn't go with us to family functions (which were very RARE) the first question upon arriving was, "Where is John?!" Ya'll should see the picture of his GRIN when he caught his first time ever FISH! I'll post pictures on my timeline later. He loved going to church. He was always ready NO MATTER the weather we were having! (Unlike most people today!!) When he first had to move out of his apartment in Roanoke (Steve and I were living in Lineville by this time) and into a "Group Home" he chose being close to Steve and I for a place to live! We were so happy when the Randolph Learing Center told us this! He later got transferred to the Lineville Facility and we could visit him regularly. I could go on and on about this sweet, gentle man but I've got to find a stopping place. My condolences to his precious mom, his niece (Shannon), his brother(Henry),to all other family members that I might not know, and to the Randolph Co.Learning Center (whom loved him as much as we did!) It has TRULY been an HONOR knowing John and WE WILL meet you SOON our sweet friend! R.I.P. for you are for the first time in your life TRULY HEALED from head to toe of your infirmities! This is NOT GOODBYE our friend but instead SEE YOU SOON!
Steve & Trisha Robertson
