Graveside services for Helen Huey Hood, of Augusta, GA, formerly of Randolph County, will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 12:00 PM CST from Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke, AL with Rev. Wes Kinsey officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hood passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include one daughter, Hope Ryer, and son-in-law, Jack Ryer of Albany, GA; one son, Hal Hood of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Gantt of Atlanta, GA.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Hood was the daughter of Luke and Lillie Mae Simonton Huey. She was a homemaker and had worked for Goodyear as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Edward Hugh Hood.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
