Hal and Hope,
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. She was such a beautiful woman inside and out. She had a sweet kind heart. I am so blessed to have her in my life. I don't know when I began calling her Aunt Helen. It was a honor. Mama misses her friend of 50+ years. Aunt Helen would call Mama every night at 9pm. Every morning they'd check on each other. Their friendship was something special. Hope I know you are missing your nightly call from your Mother If ever you want to talk, call me. I'm a night person. Ask Mama for my number. Hal same goes for you. Need to talk or want some company just give me a call.
With love, Lydia

It was with great sadness I learned of "Aunt" Helen's passing. Even though she was not my aunt, I thought of her as mine. We corresponded through Christmas cards each year and I looked forward to hearing from her. Hope and I were flower girls in my cousin Sandy"s wedding many years ago(actually quite a few) and that is where our connection began. My love and prayers for her family. I know she will be missed.

My heart is absolutely broken for the loss of my dearest friend, Helen. She gave from her beautiful heart fully and so sweetly to everyone around her. Helen deeply loved her family and friends. She would sincerely rejoice for your good news, and equally share in your sorrows. God truly blessed us all with her sweetness, and I was so honored to love her. She and I always referred to each other as "Forever Friends", and that will never change... because forever has no end. My thoughts and prayers are with her precious family - May the loving arms of Jesus lift you up and comfort you. I love you all.
