Obituary of Mary Frank Weathers Neighbors

Funeral services for Mary Frank Weathers Neighbors, age 90, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Roanoke First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Barrow and Rev. Paul Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday. Mrs. Neighbors passed away on August 1, 2015, at East Alabama Medical Center. Survivors include three daughters, Susan Brownlee (husband, Bruce) of Roanoke, Nancy Hollon (husband, Roger) of Wedowee, and Joyce Neighbors of Birmingham; three grandchildren, K.C. Hollon (wife, Maggie), Ashley Hollon, and Laurel Brownlee; a special nephew, Gilbert Branson (wife Sandra) of Fayetteville, GA; one brother-in-law, Chris Kramer, Jr. of Sylacauga; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tim May, Jerry Cotney, Jerry Revis, Randy Adamson, Steve Burns, William Lane, Robert Hooton and Burt Branson. A Randolph County resident for most of her life, Mrs. Neighbors was born on March 13, 1925, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Magnolia Ryan Weathers. She was a member of Roanoke First United Methodist Church, a charter member of J.U.G. club, a leader of the Roanoke Girl Scouts for many years, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Francis Neighbors; one infant son; and one sister, Jane Kramer.
