I pitched bp to Craig in Dadeville about 30 years ago when I was just a teenage kid getting started in softball and he went out of his way to talk to me and give me some advice! He evened did us a favor and played with our league team here a couple times and he always carried on like we were doing him the favor! Gonna be missed by all! RIP

To Craig's family...we are so sorry for the loss of Craig, not only for you his family, but also for his many friends. I have known Craig my whole life and it's still hard to believe he will not be here any more. I just waited on him Tuesday at the tag office and can still visually see him here at the courthouse telling us one of his story's of something that had just happened to him that day. He will be dearly missed and we are sad, but we know he is in a happier and better place.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Craig's family. I just learned of his passing and it deeply saddens me.. I heard so many great stories about Craig, told to me over the years. Craig was a cousin and I can remember the excitement watching an exhibition game he played in with the Steele's, seeing him in a Sports Illustration issue and all of his wonderful accomplishments in life!
You will never be forgotten, rest in peace Craig!

What a devastating phone message. He was truly larger than life, and always upbeat. Just recently he told me he has never been happier than he was right now. His wife was the love of his life, he told me he really got it right. He thanked me for being his friend and we each couldn't believe it was 25 years or so since we talked, it seemed like only yesterday. He told me we would get together soon and introduce our wives .. I guess I'll see you in heaven my friend, your dear friend Big Bill

I met Craig as did many of us softball fanatics on the ball field. He was a great player and an even better person. He had a lot of charisma and loved entertaining while playing the game he loved so much. I'll cherish the times I got to play against him. May the peace that passes all understanding bring you peace in the days to come. God bless!

I don't know what to say to Vaughn, Jenny and Scott at this time. I am devastated with Craig's passing. I never have met a person like Craig. He was bigger than life. Loved everyone and loved to smile and be happy. Loved to play sports like no other. I hope he gets to reunite with his mom and dad and his boy John. He will be so missed by so many people it is hard to explain. I loved him like a brother and sometimes like a father. He always tried to guide me in the right direction no matter what. Rest In Peace Craig. I pray that I get to see you again someday so we can laugh again together...
