OBITUARY
Graveside services for Mr. John Lloyd Higgins, Jr., of Roanoke, age 67, will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Herren and Rev. Michael Overton officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 1:45 pm on Friday, April 30, 2010.
Mr. Higgins died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his home.
Survivors include three sisters, Charlotte Booth of Marietta, GA, Martha H. Byrd of Smyrna, GA, Katherine Smith of Roanoke; one brother, Joe Sam Lee of Fairburn, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Higgins was born February 6, 1943, the son of John Lloyd Sr. and Annie Sam Fausett Higgins. He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Higgins was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tom Higgins. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: Disabled American Vets, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076
