Obituary of Robert Newton Erwin

OBITUARY Funeral services for Mr. Robert Newton Erwin, of Woodstock, GA, formerly of Wadley, age 74, will be held Sunday, April 18, 2010, at 2:00 pm from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Sprayberry and Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial to follow in Wadley City Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Mr. Erwin died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at his daughter's home in Woodstock, GA. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Williams of Woodstock, GA, Lis Craft of Wedowee, Judy Holt of Vienna, GA; two sons, James Erwin of Wedowee, Wade Shivers of Cragford; one sister, Frances Mowery of Birmingham, one brother, Joe Erwin of Birmingham; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mr. Erwin was born May 1, 1935, the son of Jasper and Ruby Landers Erwin. He was a member of the Wadley Baptist Church, had worked in maintenance for Southern Union and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Erwin was preceded in death by his parents.
