Funeral service for Curtis Bosteen Johnson, age 76, of Roanoke, will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 31, 2010, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Cecil Halsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Home Congregational Christian Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
Mr. Johnson died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Lanier Health Services.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Folsom Johnson of Roanoke; two sons, Glenn Johnson of Athens, GA, Donald Johnson of Douglas, GA; one grandchild, Alyssa Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Kinnie Calhoun, Brian Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, Vayden Pate, Jerry Pike and Steve Pike
Mr. Johnson was born, July 26, 1933, the son of J. B. and Edna Mae Smith Johnson. He was a member of the Forest Home Congregational Christian Church, a textile weaver for Amoco Fabrics and Fibers, and served in the United States ARmy during the Korean war. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother.
