Obituary of William Harold Bonner

Funeral services for Rev. Harold Bonner, age 66, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Greg Norred, Rev. Wendell Ford, and Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Mr. Bonner passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include: his wife, Valerie Bonner; one brother, Whit Bonner (wife, Pam) of Wedowee; one brother-in-law, Craig Prestridge (wife, Debbie) of Roanoke; two nephews, Chuck Bonner and Blake Prestridge;six nieces, April Walker, Emily Prestridge, Laura Prestridge, Rachel Prestridge, Scarlet Reid, and Amber Cofield; five great-nieces; and one great-nephew. Pallbearers will be Kevin Walker, Roger Arnett, Stanley Arnett, Lamar Bonner, Blake Prestridge, Mike Cofield, Bill Foster, and Doug Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Nix, Pat Whaley, Chance Hill, Johnny Adcock, Shane Strain, Dave Strain, Donnie Strain, Larry Strain, Bob Landers, Tom Ziglar, Mike Adcock, Randy Gann, Donnie Knight, Barry Cole, Larry Ward, Larry Dollar, and Dan Peak. A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Bonner was born on July 19, 1948, the son of James Harold and Winnie Geneva Arnett Bonner. He was a member of Noon Day Christian Church and a retired Randolph County Probation Officer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
