OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Parmer Brown Cantrell, of Auburn, formerly of Roanoke, age 87, will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 2:00 pm from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Baugh, Rev. Jack Vidler and Rev. Wayne Sheppard officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 8, 2010.
Mrs. Cantrell died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Oak Park Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Yarbrough of Valley, Retha Vidler of Roanoke; one son, Michael Brown of Wadley; one brother, Earl Parmer of LaGrange, GA; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Heath Brown, Josh Garsee, Zack Garsee, Justin Hill, Phillip Edge and Clay Lovelady.
Mrs. Cantrell was born December 22, 1922, the daughter of Shelley and Mertie Prestridge Parmer. She was a member of Handley Ave. Church of God and a homemaker. Mrs. Cantrell was preceded in death by husbands, Curtis Brown and Lee Earl Cantrell; six brothers; one sister; one son, Phillip Brown.
