Obituary of Eunie Alice Duke

Obituary Funeral services for Eunie Alice Duke, age 78, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger Florence officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Mrs. Duke passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014, at her residence. Survivors include: one daughter, Julia Mae Jernigan (husband, Jimmy) of Montgomery; one stepson, Robert P. Duke of Roanoke; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Pierce of Montgomery. Pallbearers will be J.W. Baker, Anthony Brown, Robert Duke, Chase Brown, and Johnny Bailey. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Duke was born on July 21, 1936, the daughter of Luther and Erma Tarver Waldrep. She was a member of Rock Spring Christian Church and was a seamstress for Clegg Manufacturing. Mrs. Duke was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Henry Duke; two great-grandsons, Christopher Baker and Jeremiah Baker; two sisters, Eudean Fowler and Etta Mae Waldrep; and one brother, Manley Waldrep. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Children's Hospital of Birmingham.
