I have many treasured memories from working 16 years at Handley Middle School with Phillip. Phillip had a way of making each day exciting and fun for his students and, also, his co-workers. If anyone ever had a problem or needed something, Phillip wanted to help. He was a superior teacher and co-worker--and even better, he was my friend.

My deepest condolences go out to the family, M. Henson was one of my teachers along the way. He always seemed so happy day by day, and cared about his students.
He will truly be missed. May God keep you in His loving arms as He comforts and leads you through this time of loss.
God bless
Loretta, Abriella, and Greyson

Where should I start. We've had some good times together growing up as cousin, I can still see us playing with the laundry shoot at your house in Greenville. Phillip you will always be in my heart, I know you are with our Lord Jesus Christ with that big smile on your face. Pop and Aunt Nell are there with you and what wonderful reunion you are having. I know that you will be missed so much by your wonderful wife Corrine who was always by your side and Wesley. I love you all and I'm here if you need anything.

Philip was such a special person. The tributes I've read from his former students are his legacy. I am so glad I got to know him and I was honored to call him friend. He will long be remembered and missed.

Phil and I went to school and church together in Greenville. He was the sweetest, kindest boy I have ever known. What a legacy he leaves in his students, coworkers and family.
