Graveside services for Karen M. Stone, age 70, of Roanoke will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 12, 2014, from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Larry McDaniel officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Stone passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital.
Survivors include: one daughter, Shelia Borie(husband, Dan) of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Grayson and Connor Borie; one sister, Kathryn Mobley of PA; and two brothers, Wayne McCormick(wife, Sandy) of San Antonio, TX, and Rick McCormick(wife, Patty) of Drexel, NC.
A Greenville, AL native, Ms. Stone was born on September 5, 1944, the daughter of Joseph Yancey and Cora Mae Roberts McCormick. She was Baptist by faith and worked in management with General Telephone in Tampa, FL. Ms. Stone was preceded in death by her parents.
