Obituary of Bobbie Bailey

Funeral services for Clara Ellen "Bobbie" Bailey, age 77, of Roanoke, will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 11:00 am from Rock Mills Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Whaley and Rev. Frank Korb officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 26th. Mrs. Bailey will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Mrs. Bailey died Monday, August 25, 2014, at her home. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Bailey Rowan (husband, Pelham) of Birmingham and Kim O. Watson (husband, Joe) of Wetumpka; three sisters, Penny Baker of Rock Mills, Martha Arnett of Atlanta and Amanda Jane Golden of Rock Mills; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Stan Arnett, Tony Arnett, Jim "Skip" Baker, Steve Cummings and Paul Romine. A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Bailey was born June 14, 1937, the daughter of William King and Kate Stewart Prather. She was a member of Rock Mills Methodist Church and had been employed as a bookkeeper with Hall's Propane Gas Company and the Palm Beach Company. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Henry "Junior" Bailey.
