Funeral services for Frances Elizabeth Sims Frost, age 96, of Gadsden, will be held Monday, August 25, 2014, at 12 noon from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel in Roanoke with Rev. Edgar Plunkett, Jr. officiating and Kenneth Plunkett delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am on Monday.
Mrs. Frost died Friday, August 22, 2014, at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, Georgia.
Survivors include three sons, William D. "Corky" Frost, Jr. (wife, Katherine) of Lilburn, GA, Robert W. Frost (wife, Linda) of Oxford and Richard J. Frost (wife, Jill) of Madison, GA; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Cary, Tim, Andy and Jack, along with two great-grandsons.
A long-time Gadsden resident, Mrs. Frost was born September 25, 1917, at Columbus, GA, the daughter of Robert and Lena Belle Brown Sims. She was a member of Dwight Baptist Church in Gadsden and had retired as an ICU clerk with DeKalb General Hospital in Decatur, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William D. Frost, Sr.; and a son, Lloyd R. Frost.
