Obituary of Betty Ann Dunn

Funeral services for Betty Ann Dunn, age 74, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Griffith and Rev. Joe Bob Traylor officiating. Burial will follow at High Pine Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 19. Mrs. Dunn passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014, at her residence. Survivors include her husband, James Dunn of Roanoke; one stepdaughter, Lana G. Piercey of Ozark; one son, James Winford Dunn of Roanoke; one stepson, David Dunn of Wadley; one daughter-in-law, Jeannette Dutton; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Hodnett, Glenn Hodnett, David Harmon, Darryl Harmon, Jack Wood, John Graves, and Braxton Garrett. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Dunn was born on April 20, 1940, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Mary Frances Cummings Vincent. She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and had worked in shipping at Roanoke Fashions. Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Wanda Gail Wilson and Bobbie Jean Glass; and two grandsons, James Winford Dunn, Jr., and Randal Kassie Lewis.
