Funeral services for Jeanette Towler Gilham, age 89, of Roanoke, will be held Sunday, July 13, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wade Price officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 pm on Sunday, July 13th.
Mrs. Gilham died Friday, July 11, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, June Gilham Burke (husband, Gerry) of Roanoke; son, Jimmy Gilham (wife, Carol) of Rock Mills; daughter-in-law, Marie Gilham of Rock Mills; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Herby Burgess, Randy Jackson, Darren Prescott, Charlie Adams, and Charles May.
Mrs. Gilham was born June 26, 1925, the daughter of Jim Frank and Annie Pearl Sanders Towler. She was a member of Rock Mills Methodist Church and had been employed as an office clerk for Roanoke Telephone Company for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Gilham; one son, Joe Bob Gilham; and her parents.
The family will accept flowers or contributions to Life Choice Hospice or Rock Mills Methodist Church.
