OBITUARY
Funeral services for Miss Eva Jean Barfield, of Roanoke, age 94, will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 2:00 pm from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Quick officiating. Burial to follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2010.
Miss Barfield died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Randolph Medical Center.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Josephine Barfield of St. Atlena, CA; one nephew, Jim Barfield of Grants Bass, OR; one niece, St. Atlena, CA.
Miss Barfield was born December 24, 1915, the daughter of Eugene Curtis and Julia Green Barfield. She had her own tax business, was secretary for the Department of Agriculture and worked for H & R Block for eight years. Miss Barfield was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Parker Barfield; one sister, Iva Hill.
