Graveside memorial services for Betty Handling, age 78, of Roanoke, will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Wayne Stevens officiating.
Mrs. Handling died June 19, 2014, at her home.
Survivors include one daughter, Gerry Lynn Mann (husband, Tim) of Roanoke; one son, Danny Handling (wife, Vicki) of Roanoke; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bev Harvey of Georgia and Bonnie Condra of Texas; two brothers, Bobby Hilliard of Roanoke and Barry Hilliard of Florida.
A longtime resident of Roanoke, Mrs. Handling was born October 27, 1935, the daughter of Earl and Josie Evelyn Hickox Hilliard. She was Baptist by faith and had been a homemaker. Mrs. Handling was preceded in death by her parents; husband, D.C. Handling; one daughter, Linda Diane Fullwood; one sister, Barbara Blount; one brother, Billy Hilliard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to one's favorite charity.
