I met Mr. McManus while I was in college with his son, Jay. I visited his home on several occasions and Mr. and Mrs. McManus always made me feel welcomed. I was amazed at the number of grandfather clocks in his home and remember one night while spending the night there when all the clocks chimed at once. Years later I traveled to LaGrange and bought one of Mr. McManus' clocks and had a good long talk with him and Mrs. McManus. He was a fine man and I am saddened to learn of his passing.
