Funeral Services for Faye Sharpe Culbertson, age 72, of Five Points will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Dr. Todd Henderson and Rev. Nick Pilgrim officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Fredonia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2014.
Mrs. Culbertson passed away Thursday, May 08, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include her husband, Tommie "Pete" Culbertson of Five Points; one son, Gregg Culbertson (wife, Tammy) of Roanoke; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Margaret Ross of LaGrange, Gail Henderson of Lanett, and Alice Brown of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Yarbrough, Grant Culbertson, Zack Culbertson, Josh Culbertson, Meacham Bailey, and Kevin Bailey.
A Five Points native, Mrs. Culbertson was born on April 15, 1942, the daughter of Bimn and Irene Harris Sharpe. She attended Wehadkee Baptist Church and was a retired lab tech for TexTest. Mrs. Culbertson was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Vanessa Culbertson; one brother, Glenn Sharpe; and one grandson, Tim Yarbrough.
