Graveside services for Wendell Keith Smith, age 55, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 11:00 AM from Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Ben Bailie officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30-11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 6.
Mr. Smith passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Knight Smith of Roanoke; one brother, Kerby Smith of Roanoke; and two aunts, Ruth Laxon of Atlanta and Callie Adams of Lafayette.
Pallbearers will be John Tinney, Eddie Adams, Mike Buckingham, John Bowling, Sam Bowling, and Kent Adams.
A Vienna, Georgia native, Mr. Smith was born on March 15, 1959, the son of Windal Roy and Frances Knight Smith. He was a machine operator at Plantation Patterns and attended First Baptist Church of Roanoke. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father.
