Obituary of Jeanette Miller

Funeral services for Jeanette Miller, age 85, of Roanoke, will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014, at 3:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Wells and Rev. Matt Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 1st. Mrs. Miller died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Bennett (Timothy) of Wadley and Marsha Teel (Dennis) of Opelika; one son, Bruce Ray (Judy) of Woodland; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Nathan Teel, Brandon Bennett, Jason Ray, David Adams, Jake Hammock, Lynn Coker, and Brandon Lee. A longtime Randolph County resident, Mrs. Miller was born July 19, 1928, daughter of Norman Benjamin and Eva Jewell Smith Burnham. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and had been employed with Clegg-Penrose. She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters.
