Funeral services for Willie Kate Prescott, age 96, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gregory Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.
Mrs. Prescott passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at her residence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Kathleen Flournoy and Tommie Lynn Johns, both of Roanoke; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Wilson, Curtis Wilson, Joey Eason, Parker Noles, Chandler Noles, and Darren Anglin.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Prescott was born on April 12, 1917, the daughter of Thomas and Fairy McLeroy Williams. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and was a twister at Handley Mills. Mrs. Prescott was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Prescott; and one brother, Junior Williams.
