Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Penn Kerlin

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Penn Kerlin, age 59, of Woodland, will be held Friday, March 14, 2014, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. _________ officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday. Mrs. Kerlin died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. Survivors include her husband, David Kerlin of Woodland; one daughter, Jennifer Blackstone (Ben) of Roanoke; one step-daughter, Tiffany Lankford of Atlanta; one step-son, David Kerlin of Griffin, Ga.; two sisters, Linda Norred of Roanoke and Eleanor Scurlock of Great Falls, Montana; two grandchildren, Tyler and Brelyn Blackstone of Roanoke and four step-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tyler Blackstone, Tony Lankford, David Kerlin Jr., Ben Blackstone, Larry Norred and Jay Scurlock. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Kerlin was born October 25, 1954, daughter of Buell O'Connell and Virginia Dare Holliday Penn. She was a member of Lane's Chapel Methodist Church and had been employed in the pharmacy department at Wal-Mart.
