Funeral services for William Paul Holliday, age 77, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2014.
Mr. Holliday passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Holliday of Roanoke; one son, Randy (wife, Tammy) Holliday of Valley; one daughter, Sherry Holliday of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Ashley Waller and Taylor Hussey; and two great-grandchildren, Garrett Waller and Brantley Hussey.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Boone, Mike Holliday, Chad Morris, Terry Brown, C.W. Perry, and Ralph Wilder.
A lifelong resident of Roanoke, Mr. Holliday was born on August 17, 1936, the son of William Thomas and Virginia Sharman Holliday. He was a member of Roanoke Christian Church and he also attended Trinity Baptist Church. He was a shipping and receiving manager at Amocco Fabric. Mr. Holliday was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Howard Holliday; and one sister, Sonia Louise Holliday.
