Funeral services for Lois Bennett, age 96, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
Mrs. Bennett passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at her residence.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Bennett of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Mike Potts, Ronnie Bonner, Ted Bennett, Jason Pike, Sidney Moore, and John Glass.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Bennett was born on June 10, 1917, the daughter of Robert Lee and Susie Henry Ussery. She was a member of Paran Baptist Church and a retired seamstress from Roanoke Fashions. Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.W. Bennett; one sister, Letha Ussery Mapp; and one brother, Trent Ussery.
