Funeral services for Mavis Irene Hester Rollins, age 66, of Roanoke, will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Branch Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10th.
Mrs. Rollins died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Rollins of Roanoke; one sister, Blanch Williamson of Newell; two brothers, Bob Hester of Opelika and Billy Hester of LaGrange, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Segars, T. J. Stroud, Bob Hester, Billy Hester, Wayne Williamson, Jonathan Bonnet, and Casey Bonnet.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Rollins was born July 4, 1947, daughter of Horace Guy and Gustie Irene Brown Hester. She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and had been employed with the Palm Beach Company.
