Funeral services for Deberel Dean Nolen, age 61, of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. from North Main Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Billy Watts and Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013. Ms. Nolen will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Ms. Nolen died on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Bethany House in Auburn, AL.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and many friends.
A Randolph County native, Ms. Nolen was born May 12, 1952, daughter of S.T. Nolen and Iva Dell Screws. She had previously been employed as an administrative assistant at Randolph County Health Department. She was preceded in death by her parents.
