Funeral services for Walter Carey Gantt, Jr., 76 of Lagrange, will be held at 12:00 pm CST, Tuesday May 28, 2013, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Geter and Rev. Mike Hawkins officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am CST to 12:00 pm CST, Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
Mr. Gantt died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at West GA Hospice. He is survived by his wife Renee Hawkins Gantt, one daughter, Karen Gantt (Mark) Tanner of Grayson, GA; two sons, Chris (Joan)Gantt of Tucker, GA and Craig Gantt of Logansville, GA, two stepsons, Brad Geter of Manchester, Ga and Rev. Danny Geter of Lagrange, and one sister Ladell Ramsey of Gray, GA and thirteen grandchildren.
Mr. Gantt was born June 6, 1936, the son of Walter Carey and Nellie Alums Gantt in Roanoke ,AL. He was a member of Teaver Road Baptist Church in Lagrange, GA. Mr. Gantt was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leon Gantt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West GA Hospice.
