Obituary of Jimmy Sherrill Hill

Funeral services for Jimmy Sherrill Hill, age 60, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Horace Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Wehadkee Cemetery. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the funeral home. Mr. Hill died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hill is survived by his parents, Monroe and Hattie Glass of Roanoke; two sisters, Carol Jones and Gloria Pearl both of Roanoke; four brothers, Wayne Glass, Webb Glass, Roy Glass, and Neil Glass all of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mike Hill, Robbie Hill, Dewayne Garrett, Wayne Glass, Roy Glass, and Neil Glass. A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Hill was born November 24, 1952.
