Funeral services for Chappell Ward Bonner Jr., 84, of Five Points, will be held 1:00 PM CDT Sunday, April 21, 2013, from Standing Rock Methodist Church with Rev. Milton Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Church from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM CDT, Sunday April 21.
Mr. Bonner died Monday April 15, 2013, at his home.
Survivors include one son, Peter L. (wife Sharon) Bonner of Hampton, GA, two sisters; Frances Brown of Five Points, and Jean Royston of Dadeville, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Bonner was born August 19, 1928, the son of Chappell Ward and Jodie DeLoach Bonner. He was a member of Standing Rock Methodist Church, a Korean War Veteran and Commander in the V.F.W. Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by his parents, wife Velma Louise Crowder Bonner, and one brother, Emmitt Bonner.
