Mr. "Jaybird" was one of the friendliest men I have ever known. Usually I would run in to him at walmart. He never failed to call me by name and ask how my mother was doing. Wilma Jean Knight WHaley (my mother) and Jaybird grew up in the loveliest city in Randolph County, Alabama--Rock Mills. My mom's family and }aybird's family were all good friends and good neighbors.I heard wonderful compliments about A.J. Foster long before I ever met him, and believe me, I was not disappointed when I did.
