Obituary of Jimmy Lamar Albright

OBITUARY Funeral services for Jimmy Lamar Albright, age 64, of Wadley, will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 4, 2012, from Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Ricky Cummings officiating. Mr. Albright will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jackie Albright, Davis Albright, Bruce Albright, Roger Albright, Arthur Bunn, and Darryl Thompson. Mr. Albright died, Saturday, December 1, 2012 at University of Alabama Hospital Birmingham. Mr. Albright is survived by his wife, Gaynelle Albright of Wadley; his mother, Velma Knight Albright Nolan and step-father Charles of Wadley; one daughter, Vicky McDonald of Valley; two sons, Jimmy Albright, Jr. of Roanoke, Chris Albright of Birmingham; five step-daughters, Tracy Scroggins of Denver, CO, Brenda Powell of Daviston, Glenda Parsons of Bowling Green, KY, Denise Dark of Alex City, Kim Fuller of Alex City; two sisters, Shirley Bunn of Wedowee, Judy Thompson of Goodwater; four brothers, Jackie Albright of Goodwater, David Albright of Alex City, Bruce Albright of Wadley, Roger Albright of Wadley; seven grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild. Mr. Albright was born, November 21, 1948, the son of George Leabern and Velma Knight Albright. He had worked as an operator for Dickert Lumber Yard. Mr. Albright was preceded in death by his father.
