Obituary of Earlene Stallings Scott
Graveside services for Earlene Stallings Scott, age 93, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cedarwood Cemetery with Bro. Tyler Worthy and Chris Taylor officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scott passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Roanoke Healthcare Center.
Survivors include: two daughters, Deborah Satterwhite of Roanoke and Phillis Taylor of Wadley; six grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Shane Taylor, Chris Taylor, Patrick Taylor, and Brett Crockett.
A longtime Wadley resident, Mrs. Scott was born in Roanoke on August 30, 1931, the daughter of Lewis and Mary Gore Wright. She was Christian by faith and worked as a switchboard operator at the Randolph County Hospital before retiring. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jessie Stallings; second husband, Carter Scott; one great-grandchild, Gabe Taylor; one sister, Ezell Barnes; and one brother, Tillman Wright; and a son-in-law, Bob Taylor.
