Obituary of David Leon Collier
Funeral services for David Leon Collier, age 56, of Lanett will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm Central Time at Bethany Lime Christian Church with Bro. Stanley Yarbrough and Bro. Derek Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Central Time on Wednesday before services begin.
Mr. Collier passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.
Survivors include: his mother, Sandra Wade of Roanoke; his father, Dave G. Collier, Jr. (Wanda) of Lanett; and seven siblings, Jamie Collier (Kathie) of Roanoke, Tiffany Littlefield of Butler, GA, Autumn McCants of Jacksonville, FL; Christina Collier of Ward, CO, Lily Collier of Lanett, Alyssa Collier of Lanett, and Cole Collier of Lanett.
Pallbearers will be Lily Collier, Alyssa Collier, Cole Collier, Rusty Lashley, Christopher Sims, and Angela Collier.
Mr. Collier was born in Randolph County on July 26, 1968, the son of Dave Gray Collier, Jr. and Sandra Meacham Wade. He was Christian by faith and was a member of Grace and Mercy Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Collier had worked as a weaver at Amoco Fabrics and Fibers and later worked as a carpet installer. He was an avid gun collector and a devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Mr. Collier was proceeded in death by his wife, Vicky Taft Collier and his grandparents, Elsie Brewer, Dave Gray Collier, Sr., Sara Meacham, and Pierce Meacham.
