Obituary of Pamela Faye Reece Carson
Pamela Faye Reece Carson, age 63, of Wadley passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Barry Carson of Wadley; three daughters, Jenny Schmitz, Briana Stevens (Taiy), and Victoria Reaves; three sons, Matthew Schmitz, Aaron Reaves, and Christian Reaves (Alli Baxley); four grandchildren, Jordan Schmitz, Savannah Schmitz, Kayden Stevens, and Waylon Reaves; two brothers, Rick Reece and Mike Reece; special family members, Chuck Estes, Kimberlee Davis, and Sandra Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
A Maryland native, Mrs. Carson was born on September 17, 1960, the daughter of Wallace Sherman and Ruby Barrentine Reece. Throughout her career, she worked at Huddle House in Roanoke, as a dispatcher for the Roanoke Police Department, and as property manager for the Alfred Radney Apartments. Mrs. Carson loved crafting. She enjoyed making candles, wreaths, shirts, and hats. She also loved crocheting and sewing. One of Mrs. Carson’s favorite places to visit was the beach. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father and mother-in-law, Frank & Ann Carson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
