Obituary of Jerry Walter Waldrep
Jerry Walter Waldrep, age 75, of Roanoke, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 24th at 3:00 pm CST at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Cofield Waldrep; two sons, Michael Waldrep of Wadley, AL, and Jarrod Helleso of Huguley, AL; one sister, Kathleen Ward of Lanett, AL; two step-daughters, Stephanie Georgia Carden of Roanoke, AL, and Brady Adams of Roanoke, AL; two step-sons, Mark Carden of Roanoke, AL, and Paul Carden of Roanoke, AL; and eight grandchildren.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Waldrep was born February 24, 1949, the son of JW Waldrep and Mildred Sewell Waldrep. He had retired from Michelin Tire Company. Mr. Waldrep was preceded in death by his parents; one son, George Anthony Waldrep; and one brother, James Waldrep.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Jerry Walter Waldrep as Mr. Waldrep was a long-time supporter of this organization and requested this in the event of his death.
