Obituary of Lena Mae Stewart Seymour
Funeral services for Lena Mae Stewart Seymour, age 98, of Wadley will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Ricky Cummings, Rev. Jimmy Brand, and Brad Arrington officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Mrs. Seymour passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mary John Brown of Wadley; daughter-in-law, Charlene Seymour of Wadley; four grandchildren, Rick Seymour (Kelly), Wes Seymour, Megan Arrington (Brad), and Cody Brown; special niece/sister, Cecile Siggers Turner; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brad Arrington, Rick Seymour, Wes Seymour, Cody Brown, Aidan Seymour, and Quincy Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be Megan Arrington, Brayden Arrington, Grayson Arrington, Gracie Seymour, Ava Seymour, and Bríain Seymour.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Seymour was born on May 2, 1925, the daughter of Wesley and Willie Parker Stewart. She was a member of Corinth Christian Church and worked as a textile worker for Handley Mills. Mrs. Seymour was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Palmer Seymour; her son, O’Brian Seymour; two brothers, Elton Stewart and Pierce Stewart; and two sisters, Mary Emma Siggers and Bovene Langley.
