Not long after we moved to Alabama a few years ago, Devon and I met Mrs. Knight at a community function. It was a very brief introduction and conversation, but it provided a very insightful lesson. She sincerely welcomed us to the area, then smiled and asked, "Are you happy?" That small question was very revealing to us. You see, she wasn't concerned with who we were, where we came from, or what we might have brought to the table. Instead, like many others that welcomed us to Alabama, she focused on our happiness and well-being. Her concern and care for others was palpable, and I am thankful that she provided that wise example for all of us.
With love to the family,
Mike & Devon Lewis

Mrs. Joyce held a very special place, in the hearts, of my family, the Walker’s and Bishop’s, for many many years! No doubt, she has seen the face of our Lord and Savior, heard the words “well done my good and faithful servant”, and has been reunited with Mr. Ralph! Y’all are in my thoughts and prayers.
