Funeral services for Virginia “Jenny” Adamson, age 92, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gerald Romine, Bro. Tim Whaley and Bro. David Taft officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to services beginning on Monday.

Mrs. Adamson passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Hospice of LaGrange.

Survivors include: daughter, Barbara Jean Arrington, of Roanoke; one son, Willis Adamson (Dana) of Roanoke; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Adamson, of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Adamson’s grandsons: Ben Arrington, Tim Arrington, Chase Adamson, Anthony Gosdin, Michael Cook, Devin Sims, and Hunter Sims.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Adamson was born on February 7, 1931, the daughter of Hoytt and Velma Nolen Robinson. She was Christian by faith and was a member of Roanoke Church of Christ. Mrs. Adamson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milam Willis Adamson, Sr.; son, Tommy Adamson; two grandchildren, Lori Beth Adamson and Chris Adamson; two sisters, Nellie Sheppard and Dorothy “Dot” Johnson; and two brothers, Brewer Robinson and Amos Robinson .
