Obituary of Rex Marshall Sr
Funeral services for Rex Marshall Sr., age 63, of Wadley, will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at Broughton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Sunday, September 24 before services begin.
Mr. Marshall passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham.
Survivors include: two daughters Amber Spraddling (Deron) and Amy Robinson (Justin), both of Wadley; two sons, Rex Marshall Jr., (Shirley) of Dublin, GA, and Ryan Marshall (Amanda) of Anniston, AL; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Cindy Reese (Freddie) of Wadley; his beloved dog, JoJo; and the mother of his children, Rosemarie McDaniel (Roger) of Wadley.
Pallbearers will be Jon Marshall, Rex Marshall III, Javion Brown, Damarious Spraddling, Demon Spraddling, Eric Cummings, Dean Reese, and Robie Tesch. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons, Kylen Sheppard, Dreyson Spraddling, Carter Robinson, Neiko Marshall, Clarke White, Kylas Greathouse, and La’ryin Marshall.
A Roanoke native, Mr. Marshall was born on February 25, 1960, the son of Clarence Gilbert Marshall Jr., and Juliaette Windsor Marshall. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents.
