Obituary of James "Wallace" Bennett
Funeral services for James Wallace Bennett, age 82, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Caleb Bridwell and Bro. Mike Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Mills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM before services begin.
Mr. Bennett passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, in LaGrange, Georgia.
Survivors include his nephew, Jeffrey Johnson, and a host of nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Shirley Bennett.
Pallbearers will be Chad Bennett, Eric Bennett, Bruce Davis, Gene Burks, Keith Pendergrass, and Danny Smith.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Bennett was born on December 6, 1940, the son of Walter Lee Bennett and Sara Chriswell Bennet. He was a member of Rock Mills Baptist Church and worked as a spinner for Wehadkee Mills. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy, Ray, Willie Joe, Grover, and Robert Bennett; and sisters, Winnie Johnson, Mary Arrington, and Annelle Littlefield.
