A Memorial Service will be held for Henry Edward Maritz on February 25, 2023 at Hillcrest Chapel in Newnan, Georgia, at 5:00 PM. Visitation will be from 4:00-5:00 PM before services begin.

Henry Maritz, age 81, of Roanoke, formerly of Newnan, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his home.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Ann Maritz Olson of New Jersey; three sons, Daniel Maritz of New Jersey, Richard Maritz (Bridget) of Pennsylvania, and Patrick Maritz (Jennifer) of Senoia, GA.; grandchildren, Taylor, Julia, Hannah, Emma, Zachary, Jacob, and Silas Maritz; great-granddaughter, Willow; and one sister, Robin Maritz of Newnan, GA.

A New Jersey native, Mr. Maritz was born on November 30, 1941, in Plainfield, but grew up in Martinsville. He was the son of Henry Arthur and Beate Amelia Stranzenbach Maritz.  Mr. Maritz had worked as a truck driver.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Debra Maritz.
