OBITUARY
Memorial service for Markus Anthony Mendez, age 21, of Roanoke, will be held 2:30 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from Midway Gospel Church with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mendez died, Friday, April 27, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Mendez is survived by his mother, Joanna Burson of Roanoke; his father, Roy Mendez of Larado, TX; one brother, Andrew Mendez of Roanoke; two cousins, J. D. Akins of Wadley, Kristen Watts of Wadley; maternal grandparents, Wallace Burson of Rock Mills and Janet Sikes of Roanoke; two uncles, James Burson of Rock Mills, John Burson of Roanoke; one aunt, Julie Carson of Wadley.
Mr. Mendez was born September 7, 1990. He was a 2008 graduate of Handley High School and attended Texas A & M.
