Obituary of Elsie Mae Brown

OBITUARY Funeral services for, Elsie Mae Reese Brown, age 91, of Camp Hill, will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 3, 2012, from Antioch Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Anthony Herren officiating. Mrs. Brown will lie in state at the church from 12:00 to 2:00 pm before the service. Burial to follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Brian Hamner, Bill Hamner, James Segers, Kenny Brown, Stephen Carden and Mike Coker. Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Brown and Ben Beard. Mrs. Brown died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Vicki (husband Joe) Sanders of Camp Hill, Debbie (husband Fred) Hamner of Prattville; one son, Lankford (wife Laura) Brown of Roanoke; two brothers, James Hood of Macon, GA, Charles Hood of Charlotte, SC; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was born, May 26, 1920, the daughter of George Reese and Lessie Ophelia Fincher Reese Hood. She was a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church and had worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach Company. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Brown; her parents; one great grandson, Wyatt Cole Segers; two brothers, Monroe and Herbert Lee Hood.
