Obituary of Joyce Kirby Prince
Funeral services for Joyce Kirby Prince, age 90, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Eldridge, Bro. Brad Prince, Bro. Chad Prince, and Bro. Bill Prince, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, April 17, 2022.
Mrs. Prince passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama.
Survivors include: one daughter, Nancy Prince Moore (Gregg) of Roanoke; one son, Bill Prince, Jr. (Carolyn) of Oxford; four grandchildren, Chad Prince (Michele) of Oxford, Brad Prince (Nikole) of Carrollton, Lee Moore (Calli), and Ashley Moore, all of Roanoke; six great grandchildren, Hannah Prince, Harrison Prince, Mileah Prince, Hayden Prince, Cara Prince, and Halle Prince; adoptive grandchildren, Sarah Lynn and Chloe Moore; one sister, Betty Moon of Roanoke; and special caregivers, Lynell Langford and Kristin Langford.
Pallbearers will be Chad Prince, Brad Prince, Lee Moore, Harrison Prince, Hayden Prince, and Philip Carter.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Prince was born on September 18, 1931, the daughter of Jadie Austin Kirby, Sr., and Lillian Mildred Taylor Kirby. She was a member of Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ and worked as a bookkeeper for B & W Auto Parts. Mrs. Prince was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. “Bill” Prince, Sr; two daughters, Holly Prince and Karen Prince; a son, Timothy Prince; three sisters, Frances Bailey, Mildred Ann Kirby, and Martha Murphree; and a brother, Austin Kirby, Jr.
