Obituary of Dorothy Strickland Herren

Funeral services for Dorothy Strickland Herren, age 81, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tyler Worthey officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 PM on Monday before services begin.

Mrs. Herren passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.

Survivors include: one daughter, Angela Kay Hayes (Tristram) of Bethlehem, GA, and two grandchildren,

Pallbearers will be Rhys Young, Seaver Young, Tristram Hayes, and Phillip Baldwin.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Herren was born on March 30, 1940, the daughter of Thomas Elijah and Sarah Jim Elliott Strickland.  She was a member of Center Chapel Church and worked as a seamstress at Stephanie Fashions.  Mrs. Herren was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wyatt Herren; and a daughter, Rhonda Baldwin.
