I worked at Big Chic with Mr C (bird) it was my first job. He was a great boss and always fun to work with, he was one of a kind and He will surely be missed. He could fry the best chicken! Prayers and condolences for the family.

I’m so sorry to hear of Mr. C’s passing. I worked at Big Chic back in 1980-1981. I loved working with him. He ran a tight ship but always, always made working fun. Prayers for the family and friends.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
